We have extensive experience, having served as legal and notarial advisors for some of the most significant foreign investment projects, particularly in the agribusiness and forestry sectors developed in Uruguay.
Regarding these investments, we can highlight, by way of example, our involvement in the following transactions: trust agreements for the implementation of such investments; purchase and sale of land and forests; obtaining authorizations from the Executive Branch in compliance with Law 18,092 and complementary regulations; contracts for the purchase and sale of timber, supplies, leases, and related activities (harvesting, planting, loans, grazing, etc.); and securing approvals for forestry projects from the Forestry Directorate and DINACEA.
In the financial sector, we advise foreign banking institutions as well as local securities market agents. In these areas, we have assisted both local and foreign clients in obtaining approvals for bond issuance programs from the Central Bank of Uruguay, as well as in stock market and financial investments by foreign investors.
We have a specialized department dedicated to serving individual clients in matters of estate and succession planning, as well as providing corresponding tax advice. This includes the establishment of corporate structures in various jurisdictions, as well as fiduciary contracts (trusts and others) aimed at maintaining assets in an organized and efficient manner.
